Alvin Ords Rebrand
For my final project in the Capstone class, I chose to tackle the rebranding of a local sandwich shop in San Marcos, TX. The shop had great food, but it was missing a strong visual style or a clear brand direction. I saw this as a perfect opportunity. I knew we could take what was already a good local spot and elevate it with a fresh, modern look and a more defined identity.
2. Moving Forward Visually
My group and I went through quite a few fonts and colors for the rebrand I did quite a few mockup ideas for what the brand could look like.

4. Logo and Submark
I illustrated a logo for us to use for the project and he became out brand's mascot for the entire time after that. We named him Sammy and I used him in so many different ways past his creation.

6. Stickers and Coupon
I made quite a bit of stickers for the website shop and for the launch event to have things to give away as limited edition. I had a lot of fun with this part of the project and it gave me so much confidence in my abilities with graphic design.

1. Alvin Ords Current Appearance
Alvin Ords could be seen as a bit out of date with their branding and overall appearance. My group and I recognize that they did not have branding that would appeal to the younger crowd like Gen Z who currently lives in San Marcos.

3. Font and Colors
We eventually landed on the font Pain De Mie as the primary font of the website and logo due to its aesthetically soft friendliness and fun approachability. It brings a retro yet modern touch to our rebrand which is exactly what we were going for.

5. Flyer for Launch Event
I designed a flyer for the launch event for the rebrand. This flyer was able to establish a lot of aesthetic and design rules moving forward with graphics I made for the project.

7. Website
The website my team and I designed with Wix for the rebrand which included all of the graphic work I created for the project and even a special pattern I made for the website.
